This article tries to disclose the connotation of Buddhist wisdom through a discussion of the differences between Buddhist wisdom, worldly wisdom, and Confucian wisdom. It also discusses the position of the "wisdom" of Buddhism in the whole Buddhist theoretical system, on the basis of which, it finds a way to  make Buddhism suited to the development of the contemporary times, to the modern societal life, to people's psychological changes, and at the same time, to offer a spiritual guide to the modernization in China.
