International Buddhism Conference in Ho Chi Minh City Tackles Global Issues

Global Buddhist issues and the path to a better life through spiritualism are to highlight the 1st International Buddhism conference held in Van Hanh monastery of Ho Chi Minh City July 15-16.

 

The conference "Opportunities and challenges for Buddhism in the modern era" would feature four main topics, including global issues, Buddhism and the nation, Buddhism and economic politics and solutions to global issues on Buddhism spirit, said Dr Le Manh That, Standing Vice Chancellor of Vietnam Buddhism Institute.

 

Over one-hundred journalists from Europe, Japan, US, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam had been sent to cover the conference, That reported.
