Large Buddhist Pagoda Re-inaugurated in Quang Tri in Viet Nam

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN lang=EN-US>Prominent at the inauguration ceremony were the Most Venerable Thich Thien Binh, who is member of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, and Luong <st1:PersonName w:st="on" ProductID="Trung Thong">Trung Thong</st1:PersonName>, President of the provincial chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.</SPAN></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN lang=EN-US>Cam Lo pagoda was first built in 1940 and had fallen into disrepair. Works on restoration of the pagoda started in September 2002.</SPAN></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN lang=EN-US>A library will be built on the pagoda grounds.</SPAN></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN lang=EN-US><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></SPAN></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN lang=EN-US>The pagoda is now a centre for religious activities by Buddhist followers of Cam Lo, Dakrong, Huong Hoa and Gio Linh districts.</SPAN></P>
