Huba Longzhuangmeng

Huba Longzhuangmeng was born in June 1960 of Dai ethnicity in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. In 1973, he became a novice monk in Myanmar and was fully ordained in 1980. Currently, he is serving as Vice President of Buddhist Association of China, Vice President of Buddhist Association of Yunnan Province, Chairman of Buddhist Association of Xishuangbanna and also Dean of Yunnan Buddhist Academy in Xishuangbanna. In 1993, he became the Chief Abbot of Xishuangbanna Monastery and was promoted to "Huba" in January, 2004. [Translator: Wang Xinyu]
