Pu'er, Yunnan, China -- On October 2, 2006, Puxian Monastery held the exhibition of Pasakamala Cintamani Beads. Mr. Li Zhilin, a lay practitioner, the director of Pasakamala Cintamani Beads, gave a 10-minutes' introduction.

After the entertaining performance, all tourists gladly touched the Pasakamala Cintamani Beads, carrying the beads to circle around Buddha, reciting the Buddha's name. The exhibition picked out 5,000 beads from 84000 ones in all, for the limitation of the place.

The wisdom of the Buddha is the underlying significance of the beads; it is said the beads are designed in a wish for equality and benevolence in every corner of the globe.

The exhibition of the beads planted the teaching of the Buddha to each tourist's mind; whether he/she is a Buddhist student or not, whether he/she is a Buddhist practitioner or not, whether he/she is a monk or lay.

The exhibition also held the competition of reciting the sutra and mantra, tea ceremony performance, Indonesian-style vegetarian dinner.   [Translator: Wang Xinyu   News in Chinese]
