Xi'an, China -- At Daci'en Temple in Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, Oct. 15, 2006 a ceremony named "Xuan Zang's Trail -- World Peace Praying Ceremony" was held at the temple on Sunday to send off an inspection group to trace the footsteps of Xuan Zang, a famous ancient Chinese monk who travelled arduously to India for sutra. Retracing Xuan Zang's footsteps is part of the activities of the Sino-India Friendship Year. The group of 40 members started its journey Sunday in Xi'an, and its destination is New Delhi, capital of India. (Xinhua Photo)
