Xinhua, August 24, 2006

Lhasa, China -- The opening ceremony of Xodoin Festival at the Zhaibung Monastery in Lhasa was held on August 23. Lhasa, capital of China's Tibet Autonomous Region. Xodoin means "yoghurt banquet" in Tibetan language, but the activity also features performance of Tibetan dramas and programs highlighting Tibet's culture and economy.
