The Yogacara Ulka-mukha Dharma Service

Guangzhou, China -- From August 2 to 8, 2006, Dafo Monastery held Grand Ullambana Dharma-assembly for seven days, as well as performing the Emperor Liang Repentance Service. Each day, thousands of Buddhist believers participates this great event eagerly. Dafo Monastery is located at Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province, China.

 

On August 8, Dafo Monastery held Passing Offerings Ceremony. Many Buddhist laypeople lined up to transmit the offerings to the Great Hero's Jeweled Hall from square outside. These offerings were dedicated to the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha), parents and ancestors. Laypeople were fulfilled with Dharma Joy.

 

In the afternoon, the Yogacara Ulka-mukha Dharma Service (The Feeding of Hungry Ghosts) was held, and it was completed with success. The Yogacara Ulka-mukha Dharma Service, a Tantric ceremony inviting and feeding sentient spirits, held in the afternoon after Sangha Day, and at the end of the Emperor Liang Repentance Service.  [Translator: Wang Xinyu   Translated from: news.fjnet.com ]
