On February 27^th, 2006, Putuoshan, Zhejiang Province, held the Third Plenary Session of Zhejiang Province's Organizing Committee for the World Buddhist Forum (OCWBF).

At its Third Plenary Session, the OCWBF reported on the preparations for the WBF. These reports were followed by local reports from the Zhoushan Municipal Organizing Committee and Hangzhou Municipal Organizing Committee.

Zhongshan, vice governor of Zhejiang Province, arranged the procedure the preparation follows. Qi Xiaofei, vice president of the Religious Culture Communication Association of China, and Qiao Chuanxiu, vice secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPC, delivered keynote speeches.
