On February 15th, 2006, Soe Win, the Prime Minister of Myanmar, visited Beijing's Ling Guang Monastery. He conversed with Ven. Shenghui, managing vice-chairman of the Buddhist Association of China and abbot of Ling Guang Monastery.

 

Ven. Shenghui delivered the keynote speech during the welcome ceremony. In his speech, he mentioned that China would hold the First World Buddhist Forum in April. Ven. Shenghui said he expected that the Myanmar's venerable masters could attend the forum.  [Translator: Wang Xinyu]
