A HARMONIOUS WORLD BEGINS IN THE MIND

By the end of November, 2005, the Preparatory Office of the World Buddhist Forum (WBF) invited Buddhist Communities from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and 35 countries spanning the globe. Some of the countries have agreed to come.

Some Buddhist sects from Japan and South Korea plan to organize a large number of Buddhist followers to participate in the WBF.

Ven. Wuming, 96 years old and one of the renowned leaders of Taiwan Buddhist Community, is too weak to walk. Yet, he said, he must go to Mainland China to attend this great event, even if he must sit in a wheelchair to do so. Ven. Huichuan, another renowned master in Taiwan, wrote a letter to the Preparatory Office of the World Buddhist Forum. His letter expressed that may be absent from the forum, but that he commends the Preparatory Office for their meaningful mission and wonderful job.  [Translator: Wang Xinyu]
