Final Selection of Forum Logo of the First World Buddhist Forum
12-19-2007

The logo of the World Buddhist Forum

After careful consideration and a thorough selection process, the preparatory committee of the World Buddhist Forum has settled on the final design of the logo of the first World Buddhist Forum. The basic form of the forum logo is a golden lotus -- a well-cherished symbol in Buddhism, and the overall shape resembles a dove -- a symbol of peace. Furthermore, the shape of the logo reminds one of the Chinese Character "" which means "mind". This conference logo represents thus the goal of this forum -- "peace and harmony".  [Translator: Wang Xinyu]
