Panchen Lama Pays Homage to Statue of Sakyamuni in Tibet

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><SPAN lang=EN-US>Bainqen Erdini Qoigyijabu, leader of the Tibetan Buddhism, arrived at the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Jokhan</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Temple</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> early Wednesday morning to show respect to the statute of Sakyamuni. He comes to worship the founder of Buddhism every year.</SPAN></P>

He was enthroned as the 11th Panchen Lama on Dec. 8, 1995.</SPAN></P>
